The Australian Scholarships Group (ASG) was established in 1974 by a group of parents as an independent not-for-profit Friendly Society.

Introduced into New Zealand in 1990, ASG is a co-operative of Member parents working together to provide educational opportunities for their children. Our programs are designed to help parents plan for the costs of a complete education while encouraging and motivating children to pursue their life goals and career dreams.

Having helped more than 370,000 Member parents over the last 30 years, ASG's mission is to provide children with support and encouragement to participate in education to the fullest extent of their ability.

ASG's Education Program can be tailored to suit individual family's needs. ASG also understands that the needs of parents are evolving as the educational environment changes. Through surveys and Member feedback these needs are identified, and continually incorporated into its programs and services.

ASG believes that all children should have an equal opportunity to achieve their potential through a complete education and, by planning early, parents can help provide the foundations that will help them achieve their goals. This is one of the greatest gifts parents can give - the gift of educational opportunity.
